American Woman

White Denim Levi's® Shorts - ASOS Marketplace
Red Heels - Primark

Ok so yes its freezing out there and as you can see my pins are in serious need of a suntan however, it looks as though there will be no sign of Spring until after Easter!

There have been so many bloggers posting their gorgeous summer outfits so its nice to see that its not just me wearning my summer attire with sub zero temperatures out there.  I don't know about you lot but I certainly hate wearing layers or any clothing that is associated with winter so I really am dying to pack all my winter bits right at the back of my wardrobe.

This gorgeous Missguided shirt I actually bought last year to go with my blue Jeffrey Campbell's however the blue's didn't exactly match which is why I bought these little red heels from Primark which were a bargain!

My love for denim meant that I had to get either white shorts or white jeans so ended up buying these white Levi's® off of ASOS Marketplace and then bought some white Jamie jeans from Topshop and no doubt it would've been more appropriate to wear the jeans in this weather however as I am fed up with trying to cover every inch of my body in this weather I thought to hell with it!  I am gonna get my pins out!

Oh yeah baby!

Ha!

These Boots Are Made for Walkin'

Denim Shirt - Primark
Denim Levi's® Shorts - ASOS Marketplace

Stetson Hat - Cowboys and Aliens Promotional Item

For some reason, today's photos are a little out of focus so apologies for that folks.  I am still trying to get the hang of this new DSLR camera!

Now then, with the return of the reworked Cowgirl Boot for Spring / Summer 2013, I couldn't resist these boots when I first saw them!  I fell in love with the metamorphosis of the design and style of the classic Cowboy boot.

I too have seen so many fashion bloggers working these and working them with so much style which also meant that there was no way I wasn't going to let myself not get a pair as I know I would regret it deeply if I didn't.

I was going to wear my pleather trousers for this post but as I was going for the cowgirl look and the fact that I chose to sport a Stetson meant that Levi's® were certainly the right choice given the heritage such a fine brand.

Get your boots on ladies!

If you haven’t already guessed it by now, I have an unfaltering fondness for denim shorts, knee high socks and the colour pink!  Oh yes, it’s true!
I nearly never got round to a blog post today as I woke this morning to cloudy skies which made me feel rather melancholic for some reason and as I was working from home today, I was so tempted to stay in my ditsy PJ’s.
HOWEVER......it wasn’t long before the cloudy skies cleared which meant that the sun filled my apartment with luminous and cheery sunbeams!
That glorious sunshine meant that I got my groove back which resulted in the choice of attire of a summery nature for this blog post.
All that I was missing was some scrumptious, frivolous and frenchified cakes for afternoon tea....oh and perhaps a Mad Hatter for company!

Gold Tone Cross Necklace - Topshop

Levi Strauss & Co. created their first pair of Levi's® 501 Jeans in the 1890s, a style that went on to become the world's best selling item of clothing!
The Levi's® brand continue their mission for world domination by constantly innovating their covetable designs and their denim and the absolute eternal appeal of this brand icon meant that my unwavering love for all things vintage is what set me upon my conquest to find the perfect pair of vintage Levi's® 501 cut offs.
Now then, having discovered through much revision and homework on vintage apparel and the sizing of vintage apparel, it is true that vintage sizes often come up smaller than the corresponding contemporary size which meant that one’s booty (yes mine) went from a 26 inch waist to a 29 inch waist over night!  I shall not repeat the word I used to express my exclamation of disapproval!
Oh yes, it’s true!
So anyway, when they arrived, they fitted beautifully, were high-waisted and complemented one’s seat very well which is also another reason for me loving this icon of denim-wear.
Levi's® is the very epitome of the American dream, from Cowboys to hip city dwellers!
Yee Haw!!!

So, there is nothing like a little nostalgia eh?
The Bart Simpson print jumpers are just to die for and I am so happy to have found a Jeremy Scott Bart Simpson look-a-like jumper at a fraction of the price.  The real deal will set you back a minimum of $400, this one was £21 so a steal at that price.
Love it or hate it, a number of celebs are sporting these at the moment; they really are super hot and pretty much go with anything.
The ‘King of Street Style’ that is Jeremy Scott and his then A/W 2012 collection was a real visual extravaganza and made me fall in love with this print!

I will post a Youtube video showing you more of his 'Simpson' collection
Totally Studio 54-esq!
