C'mon Summer!!!

Crop Top - Topshop
Red Disco Pants - American Apparel
Heels - Primark

Aaaaargh!!!  Sorry guys for another set of poor pictures!  I have finally found the right setting now so hopefully there won't be anymore blurry pics after this!

So I am loving the fact that its not been so cold and after such a lovely and sunny Saturday I am really feeling the love of the slightly temperate weather and feel as though Spring has sprung despite the inclement weather today!

I've been doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred DVD which I bought off of Amazon to get my winter body out of its coma and now at least my disco pants fit properly!  Its been hard work but its so worth it as your body changes in no time which is good given I am dying to get my bikini on down at the beach on a lovely hot sunny day!

Here's to that sunny day ladies and the hope that we get to wear some of our lovely summer outfits soon!

Superbowl Shuffle

The inspiration for this outfit came from a post I read online on the very cool 'Who What Where' website.  Their post 'Superbowl Fashion Essentials' is what made me buy this tee upon seeing it at Topshop in Oxford Street, London.

Whilst Superbowl Sunday doesn't mean all that much in the UK compared to the US, I couldn't resist joining the Superbowl party after having purchased this tee and whilst Superbowl Sunday seems like ages ago now, I still wanted to put this up on my blog just for a little fun.

As you can see, I even went so far as to add 'eye black' to my face to get into character!
The only thing I wish I had was a proper game ball oh and some football boots!

Hey, did  you know that the eye black that American Footballers wear is used to reduce glare from any flood lights or sunshine?  Ha!  I didn't.  I thought it was more for dramatic purposes i.e war paint before the official gridiron battle on the playing field!

Anyhoooooooo.....

Unlike the American Footballers, there was no way I would be putting grease on my face, so all I had at home to compensate was M.A.C's Black Knight Limited Edition lipstick from their 2009 Style Black Collection.  It worked a treat (at least I thought so anyway).  I went for two black stripes rather than one big black block of colour just to mix things up a little, it looked less aggressive that way!  Tee hee!

Comfortable attire was certainly the order of the day on an occasion such a this.

What's your playing field?

♥ Be my Valentine ♥

Red Heart Jumper - Primark
Red Heels - Primark

In honour of Saint Valentines Day, I thought I would put this short post together and I'm keeping it real in terms of theme (ahem.... hearts) and colour too (why red of course!).

Psssst......The decor in my apartment proved to be very useful today for these photos!

I also wanted to share the above sonnet with you by Pablo Neruda, as today is a day where everyone should feel weak at the knees!

This really is one of my favourite poems ever!

I too have included a video clip to one of my favourite modern remakes of Romeo & Juliet which I am sure you are all familiar with, especially the scene where Romeo and Juliet first meet!  That scene makes my heart skip a beat every time!

So, if you've not yet been struck by Cupid's arrow, may fashion be your all encompassing love........

Joyeuse Saint-Valentin!

D-i-s-c-o Fever...

So, I must confess that as much as I fell in love with the return of the 'Disco Pant(s)', I wasn't too sure whether I was in love with them enough to warrant spending £74.00 on the pair I had been lusting over for ages!  Having seen them modelled by some of my favourite bloggers, no longer could I resist!  I have to therefore say that my disco pants are already the highlight of my year as I am sure they were to every woman after Grease hit the big screen in 1978.  Understandable given how gorgeous Olivia Newton-John looked in them (and ultimately what they do for your derrière!).  Ahem…. not that there is anything wrong with my derrière I hasten to add.
I went for the American Apparel ones in the end but have to say that many of the high-street stores like Topshop have gorgeous ones (Disco Treggings) and River Island too (High Shine Tube Pants) and online e-tailers like the much loved & customer-centric Missguided who offer them in a range of dazzling colours.
Of course to go with my Disco Pants I bought this amazing “SICK” t-shirt from Topshop in Oxford Street last week having passed on the opportunity to buy one that read “GEEK”.  I have to say, “GEEK” probably isn’t the right look for me.
Now then… for those who know me know that I live in heels and I would sleep with with them if I could, but given the immense popularity and return to fashion of the ever enduring Creeper I thought I would give them a go and have to say that they certainly are timeless and can be worn with all sorts of styling.  I went for the Underground Wulfrun Creepers in black suede from Office Shoes and I’ve never looked back.  I thought they paired nicely with my disco pants.  Eat your heart out Teddy Boys & Teddy Girls J
XOXO
